Re: Massive blocks of empty seats.
Small point but any empty seats at UP would immediately be rendered invisible by the decompressed bellies of the people either side gratefully taking up the valuable extra room, and therefore covering up the empty seat to the naked eye.

They were, shall we say, snug?

Re: Massive blocks of empty seats.
You guys do realise that the actual capacity is nearer 70,000 so of course there will be sections of empty seats whilst we have only a licence for 57,000.

Re: Massive blocks of empty seats.
Surely if they have capacity for 6k0 then 60k seats, then at least 3k potentially 9k empty seats in the ground depending where the extra 6k is supposed to come from.

The walk from Stratford, blocking off certain routes, is already doing my swede in!

I can't be the only one.

Those gaps between people are only going to get wider when the cold weather sets in and the more matches we don't win.

Old bill have constantly talked about the 40k mark since sat, they prob have an indication of who entered the stadium rather than what was actually 'sold'.

If 232 is the newham lot they either don't turn up or get given any,

Re: Massive blocks of empty seats.
There have been empty blocks of around 50 seats for the last 3 home games, I can only assume these are the free thickets handed out to Newham and they can't be arsed to go , but are recorded as sold , same as if a season ticket holder doesn't turn up.

Hang on a minute? according to the stats, West Ham have the 3rd highest attendance in the PL, AND the ground is 99.9% full for each game.

They'll be loads more empty seats next season. Loads of people I know who decide to give the stadium a try won't be back.

Empty seats in every area from what I could see. At least half a block of empty seats in the upper east corner was very noticeable.

The only empty seats I saw on Saturday were in front of the Bobby Moore stand and the seats on the west side under the directors box

I went corporate on saturday, the suppliers are old mates of mine. Known them 15 years, always had a box and/or seats.

First time ever that the business owner couldn't be arsed to go though. Sent his whippersnapper (arsenal) instead.

Re: Massive blocks of empty seats.
Sulli talking about tickets sold. In that respect it probably was a sell out. The way we have been playing and with travel problems I am not surprised ST holders are swerving games.

Re: Massive blocks of empty seats.
The official web site said it had sold out but I couldn't get to the Bournemouth game and couldn't relist it anywhere and I found several others in the same position. I'd suggest it hadn't actually sold out at all.

In that case it IS sold out

sold out and full stadiums are not the same thing
